What is RFID?

With the introduction of electronic documents (passport, ID, credit cards, key cards etc.), there is a new risk of data and identity theft.

RFID (radio frequency identification) describes the transfer of data by radio using a corresponding reading device. The data stored on an RFID chip or Keyless Go key can be read out legally, as well as illegally, by radio and from a specific distance. This opens up undreamt-of possibilities for data thieves.

CRYPTALLOY is an RFID shielding foil that blocks RFID signals of all current RFID frequencies. It protects digital personal privacy.

To achieve effective RFID shielding, passports, cards or Keyless Go keys with an RFID chip must be enclosed by CRYPTALLOY; the mere presence of the material next to it (virtual contact) is not sufficient.
